Zecotek Demonstrates Animated Image on 3D / 2D Display at Official Inauguration of Operational Headquarters in Singapore

Vancouver, BC – March 12, 2007 – Zecotek Medical Systems Inc. (TSX-V: ZMS; Frankfurt: W1I.F) announced that it has demonstrated an animated image on its 3D / 2D Display at the official inauguration of its operational headquarters in Singapore. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Alan Virtue, High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore, senior officials of the Government of Singapore, and senior members of Singapore’s business, scientific and financial communities.

“I was very impressed with their new 3D Display both for its clarity and depth” remarked the Guest of Honour His Excellency Alan Virtue, High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore during a speech made at the inauguration. “Zecotek serves as a thriving example to Singapore and the region of their excellent technology, as well as the managerial and entrepreneurial talent that Canada has to offer. Zecotek may also serve as an example to Canadian companies of the benefits of building on Singapore’s excellent infrastructure, manufacturing base and supportive business environment as a stepping stone to going global. We look forward to many more great things from Zecotek.” “Our 2D / 3D Display offers multiple viewers true volumetric visualisation and exhibits depth and parallax over a wide viewing angle unlike any other 3D display available today” said Dr. A. F. Zerrouk, Chairman, President and CEO of Zecotek. “The development and commercialisation of our 2D / 3D Display continues to be on target and our demonstrations of the technology, including our animated image demonstration, is generating great interest.”

Zecotek opened its Singapore facilities in mid-2006 to benefit from local government cost incentives and to accelerate the commercial development of its 2D / 3D Display, laser, solid-state photo-detectors (MAPD) and other technologies as a base for its laser and vanadate crystal production. The facilities include 836 square meters (9,000 square feet) of lab, production and office space in Singapore’s Science Park II, located adjacent to the prestigious Institute of Microelectronics and Singapore National University. Guests at the inauguration were given a demonstration of Zecotek’s 2D / 3D Display, lasers and a tour of the crystal processing facilities.
“We have been delighted with the speed and efficiency of setting up in Singapore and the quality and economy of operations,” continued Dr. A. F. Zerrouk. “We came here to benefit from government incentives and to leverage Singapore’s excellent research and development efficiencies, support mechanisms and world class manufacturing facilities and we have not been disappointed. We have made tremendous strides here in the past six months and look forward to even greater successes in the immediate future.”
