University of Waterloo Selects New CW Narrow-Band Ti: Sapphire Laser

Zecotek's New CW Narrow-Band Ti: Sapphire Laser Selected by University of Waterloo

Vancouver, BC, November 15, 2007 - Zecotek Medical Systems, Inc. (TSX-V: ZMS; Frankfurt: W1I.F) today announced the selection of its CW Ti: Sapphire laser, model TIS-FD-08/A-scan-WV, by the Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo, Canada. The laser is the latest ultra-wide tunable laser to be developed by Zecotek and will be used by the Institute in the field of nano-optics (the investigation of single semiconductor quantum dots) and quantum computing.

Zecotek’s CW narrow-band Ti: Sapphire laser, with computer control and integrated wave meter, represents the optimal cost-effective solution for a source of radiation tuneable within a wide range of wavelengths, important features for spectroscopy of semiconductor materials and other advanced material and scientific applications.

Zecotek’s Ti: Sapphire lasers are manufactured under contract by Tekhnoscan Lasers of Novosibirsk, for Zecotek Laser Systems Pte Ltd., the company’s wholly owned subsidiary.
